Dear XXXXX
Further to my email of 4th March to your solicitor, XXXXXXX, and my email of 18th March to you, neither of which were responded to, I have now received a copy of the consent order and revised specification and method statement from the building owner’s surveyor.
Whilst I have not yet been advised of a commencement date for the works, clearly there will be some requirement for liaison between myself and your engineer for the purposes as referred to in the method statement. Given the not infrequent delay in getting responses to communications I would ask you to forward me his postal and telephone contact details so they are available as and when required.
There will also be a requirement to liaise with you in respect of necessary access for the purposes as referred to in the method statement, and I would ask if you have any preference in this respect, for example providing keys to the contractor, allowing the contractor to fit its own lock for the duration of the works or perhaps arranging for the property to be opened for access on specific pre-arranged days. It would also be helpful if you would confirm your preferred method of communication – by mobile or landline phone, or in writing by email or by post to your Elm Vale address (which would also be used to confirm any telephone discussions).
If you have any queries relating to my on-going statutory function please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely
Robin Ainsworth
